Water Damage

Water disasters can cause a tremendous amount of damage without the results being immediately obvious.

Water Damage

California Emergency Services is highly experienced with both small and catastrophic sized water damage disasters as well as the cleanup of both clean and contaminated water.

California Emergency Services can respond to a water disaster immediately and begin mitigating the damage. After identifying the source of the water and its content, CES will analyze the affected areas, record room dimensions and structural factors. Moisture readings are taken with a penetrating moisture meter, a non-penetrating moisture meter and a moisture pro, which is used for hardwood flooring and subfloor under hardwood and insulation. These meters help pinpoint all affected areas. We will also take hygrometer readings (humidity and temperature). Based on these findings, CES will then determine a plan of action to best approach the specific disaster and discuss this approach with you.

Depending on the source of the water, the extent of the damage and the specific types of floor and wall coverings you have, the proper procedures will then be followed to prepare the area for drying. These procedures include manipulating furniture and contents to access the area (as well as protect items from secondary damage), extracting water, disengaging carpet, removing carpet pad, removing baseboards and possibly drilling holes to dry walls more expediently. We will also apply an anti-microbial chemical to all affected areas to eliminate any microbial growth and odor problems. Then we will provide restorative drying services to return the structure to its pre-disaster condition.

California Emergency Services relies on a wide-range of drying equipment to effectively restore your water-damaged structure: high velocity turbo air movers, turbo air vents, hardwood floor drying systems and an interair drying system which addresses wall and ceiling cavities. We also utilize dehumidifiers, which lower the humidity and expedite the drying process.

The Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration Certification (IICRC) certifies California Emergency Services in the area of Water Damage Restoration.
